Age and loss of collagen can cause areas of the face to lose volume, while skin laxity reveals lines and wrinkles. You can rejuvenate or enhance your facial features with dermal fillers. These versatile products treat everything from deep lines and wrinkles to enhanced lip fullness.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers use materials readily accepted by the body to add volume to areas of the face. These materials can last six months to two years, depending on the type of filler and the location. Areas like the lips move more and require a thinner filler more easily absorbed by the body, while filler in the cheeks uses a denser, sturdier formula that does not move as much and can last longer.

What Can Dermal Fillers Treat?

The wide variety of available dermal fillers means your provider can choose the right one to meet your needs. Dermal fillers can treat concerns such as:

  • Deep lines and wrinkles
  • Loss of volume and a hollow look in the cheeks
  • Thin lips
  • Fine lines around the mouth
  • Depressed (sunken) scars
  • Loss of volume on the backs of the hands

Since the body accepts dermal filler materials, they can be used almost anywhere that you need to add volume. With so many options available, providers can select the ideal formula to give you the results you want.

What are Dermal Fillers Made Of?

All dermal filler materials are biocompatible and safe for use almost anywhere on your body. We offer the following types of fillers, each with its benefits:

Juvederm®

The Juvederm® family of dermal fillers uses hyaluronic acid, the most popular filler material. This molecule is found in the skin and many skincare products for its moisture-boosting abilities. Juvederm® has a formula for almost any area that needs treatment.

Restylane®

Another family of hyaluronic acid fillers, Restylane®, offers formulas for the lips, cheeks, around the mouth, and many other areas. Results from hyaluronic acid dermal fillers usually last anywhere between six months and a year, although some can last longer.

Radiesse®

Radiesse® uses calcium hydroxylapatite to provide immediate volume while stimulating collagen production. Over time, this new collagen takes over, and the body removes the filler. Results can last over a year.

Sculptra®

Sculptra® uses poly-L-lactic acid to trigger collagen development. While it does not add immediate volume, it builds a collagen structure that adds natural volume. These results can last up to two years.

Am I a Good Candidate for Dermal Fillers?

If you have areas of the face that would benefit from the added volume, you may be a good candidate for dermal fillers. These safe, popular products make a good choice for anyone wanting to smooth out lines and wrinkles or restore lost facial structure.
