We use Cynosure Elite MPX technology, which uses two wavelengths of laser energy (755 nm Alexandrite & 1064 nm Nd:YAG). The laser energy travels through the skin and reaches the roots of your growing hairs. The energy targets pigments in the roots of the hair, causing them to heat up. The heat damages the follicle where the hair grows, stopping future growth. 

How Much is Laser Hair Removal?

Since you can have laser hair removal anywhere from your upper lip to your legs or chest, the cost will vary depending on the area of the treatment. You will also need more than one treatment, but the exact number will differ, so this will also affect your total cost. Forbes reports that, on average, laser hair removal costs between $100 and $800 per treatment session. A consultation provides the best opportunity to get an accurate estimate. 

How Many Laser Hair Removal Treatments Will I Need?

Some people need as few as six treatments, while others need up twelve. Laser hair removal requires multiple treatments because hairs cycle through growing and resting phases. While resting, roots do not grow hair, and this means no pigment for the laser to target. Treatments will usually be spaced between four and six weeks apart to allow new hairs to start growing. 

What Results Will I See With Laser Hair Removal?

After your series of treatments, you will see hair-free skin that lasts. You may notice a few soft, fine stray hair appearing, especially during the first year, but yearly maintenance treatments can keep these stray hairs under control for most people. How many sessions you need depends on the speed at which your hair follicles go through their cycles. 

Will I Have Any Downtime With Laser Hair Removal?

You may feel some soreness or notice some redness after treatment. This should resolve within a few days at most. We recommend avoiding sun exposure and protecting the treated area with a dermatologist-approved sunscreen.
