What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a fractional micro-needling technique that works to tighten and rejuvenate the skin. It is effective in reducing scars caused by surgery, acne and also helps with the appearance of stretch marks. Microneedling is safe on all skin types and is administered with very little discomfort or downtime.

How does Microneedling Work?

The Microneedling is a micro-needling system that uses a disposable tip consisting of 12 micro-needles that penetrate the skin creating micro-injuries that stimulate collagen production. This encourages the body to repair through the skins normal physiological process.

Is Microneedling Painful?

You will arrive 30 minutes prior to your Microneedling procedure for topical numbing, although the procedure is tolerable we prefer to make it as comfortable as we can for the patient.

What are the Effects Immediately After Treatment?

Immediately after your Microneedling procedure you will experience redness, pinpoint bleeding, minimal swelling and you may feel like you have had a mild sunburn. All of these effects are a normal response post procedure. This is considered a minimal downtime procedure, you may resume normal daily activity the following day and any residual redness may be covered with makeup.

How Many Microneedling Treatments Will I Need?*

The benefits of one Microneedling procedure will be apparent, however, we recommend 3-6 treatments 4 to 6 weeks apart for optimal results. The number of treatments needed will vary based on the patient and what we are trying to achieve.
