Dr. Edward Glassberg
Dr. Edward Glassberg is a leading expert in laser surgery and a certified, fellowship trained Mohs Micrographic surgeon (specialized skin cancer removal). Since early in his medical career, he has been deeply involved in laser surgery including cosmetic and dermatology applications. He has also published over a dozen peer-reviewed research articles on the use of laser technologies, along with three textbook chapters and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology/Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Glassberg is trained in all aspects of dermatology, including surgical, cosmetic and laser procedures, and general dermatology.
Medical Education & Training
He obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree from UCLA, graduated Summa Cum Laude (with highest honors), and was invited to join the Phi Beta Kappa honors society. He subsequently studied medicine and obtained his medical degree at the USC School of Medicine. Dr Glassberg went on to conduct extensive research in the applications of cutting edge laser technologies at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, at Harbor UCLA, and the UCLA Westwood campus. He completed his residency in Dermatology at Harbor-UCLA, and went on to complete a formal fellowship at UCLA in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, with additional emphasis on wound reconstruction and cosmetic procedures.
For several years, Dr. Glassberg served as the head of Dermatologic Surgery at the Harbor-UCLA residency program, then went on to co-found the Laser Skin Care Center and Dermatology Associates with Dr Bryna Kane. They also co-founded the non-profit Erase-the-past tattoo removal clinic and Foundation, to help former gang-members remove visible tattoos in exchange for community service, so they may re-enter society, obtain jobs, and a higher education.
