Types of VI Chemical Peels

There are many different types of VI chemical peels. The treatment that you have will depend on the type of skin condition you are hoping to treat. This is something we will be able to advise on.

The VI Advanced Peel is a medium depth peel that patients of all skin types on the Fitzpatrick assessment can undergo. It’s particularly suited for patients with mature skin because it soothes roughened skin texture, softens fine lines and wrinkles, and can help tighten skin that’s lost elasticity.

The VI Original Peel is also suitable for all skin types but is often the choice for patients with sensitive skin. This peel is a fantastic option to prevent early signs of aging with its medium depth and focus on rough texture and keratosis pilaris. Typically, patients see results after a 7 day period of recovery.

The VI Precision Plus Peel targets pigmentation and textural damage, specifically UV-induced pigmentation, sun damage, melasma, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This peel is also safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types to exfoliate as well as diminish pigmentation, textural damage, and photoaging (sun damage, age spots). It also promotes rapid cellular turnover for fresh, renewed skin that looks and feels more youthful.

Benefits of VI Chemical Peels

There are a number of different benefits that are associated with VI chemical peels. One of the main advantages associated with this treatment is that it offers so many different benefits to the skin. Not only does it smooth the skin, but it will balance texture, soothe scarring, lift the skin, and fade discoloration. Aside from this, it can erase wrinkles and fine lines, minimize pores, and treat acne.

There are many different types of chemical peels as well, and this treatment can be customized to suit your needs and goals. This ensures that you end up with a treatment that is right for you. It is also a non-invasive treatment, which means there is no recovery or downtime for you to worry about.

Am I a Candidate for VI Chemical Peel Treatments?

There is a VI chemical peel that exists for most people. While light-haired and fair-skinned patients tend to have more success with VI chemical peels, this does not mean you cannot have this treatment if you have darker skin. It is simply important to make sure your expectations are realistic, and this is something that we will discuss with you during your consultation.
