To all of our patients:
Our Doctors and staff want all of our patients to know we are closely monitoring the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure we are doing our part to keep you safe. Even though our daily routine is to maintain a clean and safe environment, we have taken steps to be extra vigilant.
We have implemented additional procedures including: screening of all patients and employees before allowing entry into the office, usage of masks by the physicians during the examination, and repeated cleaning of all surfaces in both the waiting and exam rooms.
In order to assist us in keeping our staff and other patients safe, we ask that you call to cancel your appointment if you are having any flu like symptoms (temperature, cough, shortness of breath); or, have been in contact with anyone with symptoms.
Social distancing is the practice recommended by public health officials to stop or slow the spread of COVID-19. Should you decide to keep your appointment, we ask that you do not bring any additional family members with you to your appointment (caregivers are okay) and that you maintain 1 or 2 seats between patients when sitting in the waiting room.
If you are 65 or older and the visit is non-emergent or non-essential and not related to skin cancer please cancel your appointment which will be rescheduled in the near future once the coronavirus situation has improved.
We want to let our patients know we are here for you and we respect any decision you choose to make regarding your care. Maintaining your health is our priority. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding any upcoming appointments.
Sincerely,
Doctor Kane, Doctor Glassberg and staff

HIPAA Compliant Telehealth

Laser Skin Care Center is excited to announce that we are implementing a HIPAA compliant, safe and secure portal where you can interact with a medical provider from the comfort of your home or office.

As people practice social distancing and businesses that do not provide emergency services begin to close or limit their operating hours in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency, we want you to know that your health is still a priority for us. While we are limiting our office visits to urgent visits only, we are implementing a telehealth program so that we may continue to serve our patients during this difficult time

Currently Scheduled Appointments. If you currently have a full body skin exam appointment and have a history of skin cancer or abnormal moles, we encourage you to keep your scheduled visit with your provider. The Provider can evaluate photos of any spots or areas of concern on your skin and speak to you using video chat on your smartphone. If there is anything that needs to be evaluated further in the clinic, we will schedule you for an urgent visit. Please contact our office if you would like to keep your scheduled appointment and one of our staff will send you the invite for our Telehealth system. Many of the services that we provide can be performed through live audio-visual communication, such as FaceTime, Skype or Facebook messenger chat. Some visits can even be performed by a telephone call, email or patient portal messaging.Your visit will be billed to your insurance company the same way we would bill your office visit.

Healthcare Needs. If you have healthcare needs in the coming weeks, including follow-up appointments, please reach out to our office to schedule an appointment. We will first screen you to see if the visit can be done remotely. If possible, we will set up an appointment for you to video chat with your provider. For visits that cannot be completed remotely we will still see urgent and some surgical patients in the office.

Safety. The health and safety of our patients, physicians and staff is our top priority. To ensure your safety, we have suspended vendors and other visitors from visiting our office. We have instituted even more aggressive cleaning protocols. We removed magazines from the waiting area. We changed the seating so that you are not sitting near anyone else. When you use a pen to check in, it is not reused until disinfected. We are screening all patients before they enter the office. Staff are wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves and gowns. Please be reassured that we are closely monitoring the situation with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and other governmental agencies.

Important. If you have traveled recently, have a cough, had a fever within the last 30 days ,have had contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or are being tested yourself for COVID-19, please call us to reschedule your in office appointment.

How do I schedule a telemedicine visit? Give our office a call and we can schedule that appointment for you. 562-997-1144

Our goal is to continue to support our patients through this crisis by improving the accessibility to our healthcare providers.
